__Math Olympiads__Mathletes are challenged by participating in Math Olympiad. I meet with 4th and 5th graders to explore a problem solving strategy in depth and apply it to different story problems. Practices are held and five monthly contests are conducted.

**Some of the problem solving strategies we use are**

*Draw a picture

*Make a chart or organized list

*Guess and check

*Use logical reasoning

*Find a pattern

*Write an algebraic expression

*Work backwards

*Solve a simpler problem

**Goals of Math Olympiad:**- to stimulate enthusiasm and a love for math
